Rhodes Enterprises also owns Bentsen Palm RV Village Resort (BPV) and decided early on to make many of the amenities available at BPV also available to the residents of Retama Village. The staff at the BPV office manage the amenities. The amenities include:
- horseshoe pits
- kayaks for use in the Rio Grande River,
- sign up for a weekly tour on the Rio Grande River on the pontoon boat
- the pontoon boat is available for rent and captain services to pilot the boat for private tours
- dog park
- a fully equipped Wood Shop
